Great report, thanks. but a rules query.. didn't you have to attack the nearest unit in 2nd Ed.. thus you could use bullet magnet tactics to draw fire onto mass weak units allowing screening of harder lone or more costly units.. so the shooting v warriors would not have happened, and the shots gone to the gaunts?

I’ve decided to keep the space marines and orks to learn to play with my son. Your videos are really helpful

I love the idea of doing this for Space Wolves, but as far as I can find, there are no listed units for the specific Great Companies in the 2e Codex. Just wondering if anyone had any tips/advice on where I might be able to find something like what was listed here for the 3rd Company of Blood Angels roster?

Oh i remember that set. I bought it back then when i was 16 years old back in 1989. But i did a mess with the colors trying to follow the instructions and painting a Blood Angel. To much paint and not understanding the text really good how they wanted the layers to go.

Sometimes... I am sad because I don't know any tabletop rules, yet I have small of orks and space marines army under my command :c

Finally, decades after its release, wh40k 2nd edition is played the way it was made to be played.

I miss the old school weaponry. I forgot you could stay on fire if hit with a flamer template! Now all weaponry is just a vanilla D6 roll. Sad.

Those plastic Genestealer models were first models I fell in love with when I was a young boy first discovering WH40k in the mid 90s. I wasn't able to get my hands on a box of them from my local hobby store, so I picked out some Khorne Bezerkers instead, leading me into a world of heracy and the Warp mutated creatures. I still wonder what it would have been like had I began collecting Tyranids instead.
